City Council Meetings Move to Thursdays

It should be easy to participate in your local government.

That’s why the City Council is simplifying their meeting schedule. Starting in November, all regular meetings and work sessions will occur on Thursday nights. This provides clearer and more consistent access for the public throughout the policymaking process.

Council meetings previously split across Mondays and Thursdays, with alternating weeks. This fragmented schedule often required folks to consult the calendar and toggle between weeks to keep track.

Councilmembers and staff are committed to ensuring that your voice is heard, and that you have a straightforward and accessible way to participate in the decisions that shape our community. A new schedule is just one example of how we’re always striving toward that goal.

MEETING SCHEDULE
As of November:
Regular meetings are first and third Thursdays. These are generally where action is taken, and where you can give public comment.
Work sessions are second and fourth Thursdays. These are generally for discussion.
All meetings are at 7 p.m. at City Hall and Zoom. They also can be viewed on YouTube, via livestream or recording. Agendas, materials and Zoom links are at www.cityofmlt.com/129
