Learn the best practices for protecting yourself and your family. The City of Mountlake Terrace Police Department is hosting a free “Personal Safety Seminar,” Wednesday, March 29 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.


Learn the best practices for protecting yourself and your family. The City of Mountlake Terrace Police Department is hosting a free “Personal Safety Seminar,” Wednesday, March 29 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the City of Mountlake Terrace Council Chambers, 6100 219th Street SW, Suite 220.

This free course offers knowledge and resources in Personal Safety. Topics include policing in the 21st century with Chief Greg Wilson, personal awareness, do’s and don’ts when confronting criminals, safety at home, workplace violence and active shooters, deadly force encounters, “should I buy a gun?” discussion, the shoot decision, and legal issues. This is not a physical personal defense class.

Detective Sergeant Pat Lowe, a 20 year Law Enforcement Officer and Certified Firearms Instructor with the City of Mountlake Terrace Police Department, will instruct the seminar.
