[ARCHIVED] MLT Evergreen Winners Transform Community

2017 Evergreen Award Winning Properties

Over 80 property owners, residents and their guests filled Ballinger Clubhouse at the Mountlake Terrace Evergreen Awards Ceremony held September 13. The program encourages beautification efforts in the city by recognizing residents and businesses who take pride in maintaining their properties. This program also helps promote conservation as part of the city’s sustainability strategy.

This year’s presentation featured 25 award winning properties, including 13 Best Maintained Residence Awards from six neighborhoods. In addition, 11 Best Transformation Awards recognized owners who renovated their properties to become assets to the community. Most Sustainable recognition was awarded to one property owner for best utilization of green features to help preserve the environment. Winners received a plaque to display at their property and viewed a slide show of winning properties.

"Thank you to our property owners who have maintained their properties, invested in our city, and improved our community,” stated Community Relations Director Virginia Olsen. “The Evergreen Awards is an opportunity to acknowledge and recognize those who are making a lot of positive changes in our community.”

More information about the Evergreen Awards is available at www.cityofmlt.com/481. Or contact City Hall our Community Relations Division at cityhall@ci.mlt.wa.us or (425) 744-6203.
