A series of informational sessions has been set up for the community to learn more about the City of Mountlake Terrace Proposition 1. City Manager Scott Hugill and Police Chief Greg Wilson will be on hand to provide information about Proposition 1 and answer questions from the community.
Proposition 1 is a 30-year bond measure for $12.5 million on the November 7, 2017 ballot to fund construction of a Police Station expansion and new City Hall.
The informational presentations are scheduled for Thursday, October 19, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Mountlake Terrace Library, 23300 58th Avenue W.; Tuesday, October 24, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Ballinger Clubhouse, 23000 Lakeview Drive; and Thursday, October 26 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Cedar Way Elementary School, 22222 39th Avenue W.
The proposal is the result of a six-month public process that included a nine-member committee of residents, 4 community meetings, 12 neighborhood chats and many public meetings with the committee and City Council.
