[ARCHIVED] MLT Police Recognize 2017 Accomplishments

Topics covered included Emotional Wellness for Law Enforcement, the Six Pillars of 21st Century Policing, and department goals for the coming year.

Additionally, several employees were recognized for their achievements in 2017. A Medal of Meritorious Service was awarded to Officer AJ Werfelmann, Police Chief’s Commendation went to Officer Eric Jones, and Certificates of Merit were awarded to DV Coordinator Danielle Singson, Officer Heidi Froisland, Officer Eric Jones, Officer Carl Cronk, Officer Eugene Shin, Officer Victor Zuniga, Sergeant Scott Burkett, Sergeant Matt Porter, Detective Pat Hatchel and Detective Justin Mettler.

Department supervisors provided instruction on department priorities along with the Six Pillars of 21st Century Policing, taken from the President’s 2015 Task Force. The Six Pillars are Building Trust and Legitimacy, Providing Policy and Oversight, Utilizing Technology and Social Media, Community Policing/Crime Reduction, Training and Education, and Officer Wellness and Safety.
