[ARCHIVED] Ramsey Chavez Airbrush Exhibit Opens March 1

Black and White Airbrushed Lion

For self-taught artist Ramsey Chavez, there is no subject that is beyond his extraordinary capabilities. He is gifted in use of the airbrush to create stunning and thought-provoking portraits, landscapes and fantasy works of art.

Ramsey’s versatility and skill allows him to paint on a variety of surfaces including canvas, metal, and walls. The magnificent airbrush work done on motorcycles has won awards for their owners. His mural of Chief Sealth outside of The Crocodile in Seattle was commissioned by musician Ayron Jones for use in the music video, Love is the Answer.

As a highly sought out portrait artist, Ramsey brings to life the subjects of his exquisitely detailed paintings. His talent and mastery in shading and highlighting provides a feeling of the individual’s spirit within each portrait.

Ramsey’s work has won awards in 2018 Arts of the Terrace Juried Show and the Kenmore Juried Art Show. He has exhibited work in the Beauty of the Northwest Juried Show, Breakroom Gallery Group Show, Las Laguna Gallery Group Show, and at the Skylark Café.
