[ARCHIVED] Council Recognizes Eagle Scout Dane Johnson

The Mountlake Terrace City Council recognized Eagle Scout candidate Dane Johnson at its April 4 meeting.

Dane Johnson completed his Eagle Scout project at Veterans Memorial Park located at 23400 58th Avenue West. “Dane resurfaced a pedestrian bridge that is a vital connection through the park to the transit center and a major benefit to all who use the trail,” said Parks and Facilities Superintendent Ken Courtmanch, who coordinates projects with prospective Eagle Scouts.

“On behalf of the City Council, I thank you,” said Mayor Jerry Smith. “We really appreciate what you did for our community.”

“These Scouts put in many hours and a lot of hard work on their projects that benefit the city and its residents,” stated Recreation and Parks Advisory Commission Chair Linda Rogers.

For more information on Eagle Scout projects, visit the city’s website at www.cityofmlt.com or call Parks and Facilities Superintendent Ken Courtmanch at (425) 776-1811.
