[ARCHIVED] City Manager Recruitment Update

The City Council has updated their timeline to interview and select their next City Manager. The Council is working with Colin Baenziger & Associates to conduct the executive recruitment.

On Monday, May 2, the City Council will hold a special meeting at 6:00 p.m. for an executive session to discuss City Manager candidate qualifications. At this meeting, the Council will review the qualifications of the top candidates that were recommended by the recruiter.

The City will have a community reception for the public to meet the finalists tentatively set for Friday, May 13 at 6:00 p.m. at the Ballinger Lake Clubhouse, 23000 Lakeview Drive. It is expected that on Saturday, May 14, the City Council will conduct final interviews at a special meeting. The time for that meeting is still undetermined.

Colin Baenziger & Associates reported that there were 40 applicants for the City Manager position. A final decision by the Council is anticipated at either the May 14 special meeting or May 16 regular meeting; however these dates are subject to change at the Council’s discretion.

For more information on the City Manager recruitment, call City Clerk/Community Relations Director Virginia Olsen at (425) 744-6206.
