Following a two-day interview process May 13-14, the City Council selected Interim City Manager Scott Hugill as the next Mountlake Terrace City Manager at their May 16 regular meeting. The appointment is pending approval of an employment contract with mutually agreeable terms scheduled for the June 6 Council meeting.

Mr. Hugill has been the Interim City Manager for the City of Mountlake Terrace since September 2015. Mr. Hugill has served in the role of Administrative Services Director and Assistant City Manager in Mountlake Terrace since August 2004. Mr. Hugill has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science from Western Washington University, and a Master of Public Administration Degree from Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA.

“Scott’s been a leader in our organization for over 12 years.
