The Civic Campus Redevelopment Project consists of a new city hall (approximately 18,000 square feet), addition to the existing police station (approximately 3,100 square feet), a Town Center park/plaza, parking, landscaping and public art.
The Main Street Project includes the design, engineering, and re-construction of 236th Street between 56th Avenue W and Interstate 5 (Phase 1 under construction), and 56th Avenue W between 230th and 236th Streets SW (future Phase 2).
The Town Center Plan is being updated to encourage revitalization of the Town Center. The recommended Plan calls for developing a vibrant attractive center filled with offices, restaurants, housing, retail stores, and community amenities.
The Sound Transit 2 Link Light Rail extension includes stations in Shoreline, Mountlake Terrace and Lynnwood. Opening in 2024, riders will enjoy reliable service to the University of Washington, Seattle, Eastside, and more.
Design work is underway on a public plaza that will serve as a gateway feature to the city’s Town Center. The plaza will be located just east of the future Mountlake Terrace Light Rail Station.
The Terrace Station Project, adjacent to Interstate 5 just north of the King-Snohomish County line, includes three buildings, over 600 residential units, 80,000 square feet of commercial space, and a new roadway into the project from 236th Street.
