Kyoko has been a Mountlake Terrace resident since 1984 and has a son
who is a graduate of Mountlake Terrace High School. Appointed to the
City Council in January of 2008 and subsequently elected in 2009, Kyoko
also served on the Mountlake Terrace Planning Commission from 2002 through 2007.
A graduate of Inglemoor High School and the
University of Washington, Kyoko is currently employed as a Realtor with
Coldwell Banker Bain. She is past President of Snohomish County Camano
Association of Realtors (SCCAR). She was selected as Realtor of the
Year with SCCAR in 2001 and 2010. Kyoko was appointed to the Real
Estate Commission in 2009. She is also a commissioner with HASCO
(Snohomish County Housing Authority).
Earning her college degree in Drama, Kyoko
actively supports the dramatic arts. In support of her alma mater,
Kyoko serves on the UW Drama Advisory Board and Arena Group to help
raise funds for UW Drama scholarships. She is also on the Board of
Trustees with the ACT Theatre.
Kyoko currently serves on the SeaShore Transportation Forum, Snohomish County Tomorrow (SCT), Snohomish County Health Board and Snohomish County Conservation Futures Program. She continues to serve as the city’s representative on the SCT Alliance for Housing Affordability Board.
