Starting November 1, the Mountlake Terrace Recreation and Parks Department will implement Dash Platform, a new registration software solution that has many user-friendly features.
This new system offers users an easier, faster and more secure way to register for swim lessons, dance and fitness classes, leagues, childcare programs and more.
All customers will be required to create a new household account, even if they have a current account in our old software system. This step will need to be completed before registering for upcoming programs.
“The new software will allow for much easier registration from anywhere,” Recreation and Parks Director Jeff Betz stated. “Staff have been gearing up for this new step for a few months and are excited to see what the public thinks of the many new features.”
The new software includes a mobile responsive design that functions well with smartphones and tablets for easy catalog viewing and online registration. Users will have the ability to see previous transactions and view an event calendar with all classes and programs for which the customer has registered. In addition, users will have access to account statements, setting up contact preferences, viewing waiting list status and managing memberships. The easiest way to utilize the software will be to download the “Dash Online” app from the Google Play Store or the App Store by entering “Dash Platform”.
According to Betz, it should only take about five minutes to complete the household account set up process. Logins can be completed via a Facebook sign in, or create your own login. The link to the new software program will be on the city’s website at www.cityofmlt.com/530. Betz also says this is an opportunity to ensure all records are up-to-date and inactive users are removed from the database.
“This new technology will allow more customers to share activities via social media and make day to day use much easier for all involved. The software will also allow the city to stay in touch with customers via email and text message updates for reminders, closure information, or other important announcements.”
