[ARCHIVED] Mountlake Terrace Recruiting for Civil Service Commission

The City of Mountlake Terrace is looking for volunteer applicants to fill a vacancy on the City’s Civil Service Commission.

The Civil Service Commission is a three person board established, in part, to approve, regulate, adopt and maintain the regulations regarding the administration of the Civil Service classification. The Commission approves the competitive testing and promotional processing for public safety employees. The Commission also will potentially hear appeals on disciplinary matters as well as appeals relating to the testing and promotional process within public safety.

The Civil Service Commission meets as necessary for specific action on items related to the Civil Service classification. Civil Service Commissioners are appointed to terms of six years.
