[ARCHIVED] South County Walks Continue In Mountlake Terrace

The next South County Walks event in Mountlake Terrace is set for 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Recreation Pavilion, 5303 228th Street SW.

The weekly program is coordinated in partnership with the Verdant Health Commission to promote healthy living and fitness through a series of free community walks.

The walks are led by volunteers and take place in Mountlake Terrace every Wednesday through September 1. Participants can expect to spend about an hour walking two to three miles. They can register in advance or drop in. All ages and abilities are encouraged to attend, and the gatherings are family-friendly.

In addition, weekly walks are scheduled in the cities of Edmonds and Lynnwood. As of Tuesday, 124 people had registered for South County Walks.
